The Maryland Commission on Capital Punishment voted yesterday in favor of recommending death penalty repeal to the Maryland legislature! * The study commission voted 13-7 in favor of recommending repeal, citing problems such as racial and geographic disparities, high cost, lack of deterrence, and risk of executing the innocent.
