Police Find Extra Head at Crash Scene
In what Boise, Idaho police are calling the most "horrific and complex" crime scenes in memory, they found on the highway the severed head of a man's wife, which flew out of the back of his pickup truck when he collided with another car, killing the driver and her daughter.
A Boise police officer was following a pickup truck driven by Alofa Time (pictured), who was driving erratically on a busy highway and saw it crash into an on-coming vehicle. When the two vehicles collided, a woman's head flew out of the back of the truck onto the highway.
The severed head belonged to Time's wife, Theresa N. Time, 47, whose decapitated body was found later in the garage of the couple's home. Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said Time told officers that he was involved in his wife's death.
Killed in the crash were Samantha Nina Murphy, 36, and her daughter, Jae Lynne Grimes, 4. Another older daughter survived the crash.
Alofa Time, who was not injured in the collision, is being held on two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the crash.
