We hope you’re enjoying The World Series on Fox, and we want you to know that while the battle between The Boston Red Sox and The Colorado Rockies preempts our broadcast this week, we’ll be back on the air next Saturday with all-new cases. Remember, you’ll always find the latest developments in our manhunt online at AMW.com!
Real-Life Monsters from Anerica's Most Wanted
As Halloween approaches, we're bound to see some creepy characters roaming the streets. But that's nothing new for us here at AMW – unfortunately, we deal with real monsters all the time.
This month on AMW.com, our producers have been telling you about some of the scariest fugitives we've profiled. For AMW's Jenna Naranjo, it’s accused killer Robert Bowman.
It didn't take long for Jenna to blurt out Bowman's name when we asked her about the fugitive who creeps her out the most.
"He makes my stomach turn," she says. In 1967, cops say Bowman's wife found 14-year-old Eileen Adams naked, and as she puts it, "hanging like Jesus" in the couple's cellar.
But before she had time to react, police say Bowman killed Eileen, and forced his wife to help dump her body in a Michigan field.
Fourteen years later, Mrs. Bowman finally came forward to police. "That's the sickest part to me," Jenna says. "The poor wife held this secret in for so long."
Now, 40 years after Eileen's death, cops say modern DNA science has finally given them what they need to pin the crime on Robert Bowman. But they need your help to track him down.
Investigators say Bowman likes warm climates and could be living on the streets in California or Florida.
Log on to AMW.com for all the details on this case, and check out the other real-life creeps who scare us. We’ve also been hearing from a lot of you about who you think are the most frightening AMW fugitives, and there’s still time for you to write in, and maybe have your letter featured on our website.
A Homecoming – In Handcuffs
When we first profiled Kenneth Freeman, the man police say raped his own daughter, it was one of the worst cases of abuse we’d ever seen. Now, after being captured in Hong Kong, the Washington State native is finally back in the United States to face justice.
AMW producer Denise thingy has been on the case from the start, and she says what's most satisfying to her is knowing that she and AMW played a small part in bringing Freeman down. "Everybody involved put their heart and soul into this, and now the case has finally come full-circle,"Denise says.
Freeman's daughter, Kylie, bravely came forward to tell her story on AMW, and that helped lead to her father’s capture. Denise says Kylie is doing well and preparing for the next step. "Kylie has been amazingly strong throughout the whole process,"
Denise says. "Now it's time for her to get ready for the trial."
