Hello everyone, I'm new here, obviously.
I am a very busy grandmother who is lucky enough to have my grandchildren in my daily life.
I also have someone on Ohio's Death Row, (at OSP). My brother, Brett Hartmann, has been on DR for 10 years now.
Sadly, before this happened to my brother I knew little of the whole issue of the death penalty, wrongful convictions, etc. Now there is no turning back...

My name is Karen and I know of Brett and your site too.
I am in Scotland but campaign for Kenny Richey.
I am sorry to hear the news that the courts denied Brett. Is there anything we can do?
Love K x
Thanks Ms K, I just realized how long ago I made this post...note to self...check in more often!
Brett's case has never been investigated from a defense point. At trial, Brett's attorneys relied on the states evidense...I know everyone here will believe that...LOL. But our main focus right now is raising enough money to keep the investigator (Paul Ciolino) that is going to start looking into Brett's case on the job. I know defense fund raising is something that all the men struggle with, but tips in that area would be appreciated. Or if anyone knows of how to go about getting Brett an agent to handle his art work...Brett's one means of contributing to his defense fund. A petition on Brett's behalf will be coming later, but for now I am working with Brett's appeal attorney on what points to make sure to include in it.
